Welcome to Altimeter Group's 2010 first annual Open Leadership awards!

Based on the book “Open Leadership”, these awards recognize the organizations and individuals who are using social technologies to open and transform their organizations.  Being open is hard, so this is a chance to highlight organizations and leaders who are successfully giving up control while still getting things done.

Working with Spigit, we've collected open leadership case studies from the community. You can view submissions here.

Deadline for submissions was Monday, September 13, 2010 at 6 pm Pacific (note: deadline was extended). Click here to read the details about the nomination and selection process.  Nominations were accepted for the ten sectors listed below. 

The winners will be announced at Altimeter Groups’s Rise of Social Commerce industry event on October 6, 2010 in Palo Alto, California. One winner and up to three honorable mentions will be named in each category.
